This is the first time I've ever written from school. Mostly because Blogger was blocked on the old computers and I've just now realized that Gmail and Blogger aren't blocked on the new system.

There was a little excitement today. The third graders (9th graders) got the results from their first interview tests for high school. I'm a little curious to see who made it on the first try. They'll have one more chance to get in to their choice school, but the next test is a real written test. I know which one I'd prefer. I've been told that this system of testing into a high school is the same as the British system. The stress that it causes the kids seems a bit overboard to me. I guess it'll make a difference in which college they can go to...but still. I'm definitely a big fan of the US system in this case.

In other news, this winter has been my snowiest. I guess that's not saying much since it's only my fifth snowy winter. And having said that, of those snowy winters it's the only winter that I haven't done any winter sports. Is that irony? or a coincidence? I'd really like to go, but none of my friends have had time. (T T) I still have a couple weeks before the season is over, maybe I'll get a chance.
