I got my dress yesterday. I'm definitely going to need assistance to put it on. I think I'm going to need help doing everything the day of the wedding; I guess that's not a bad thing though. The next thing on my list is shoes. I think I'll look for shiny, sparkly silver shoes with as little heel as possible. It wouldn't do for the bride to fall every time she tried to take a step.
I've decided to take up bonsai... sort of. My fiance's father's cousin is into bonsai, and when I told my fiance that I was curious about it, he called and asked if we could go take a look. We went out to look, and his garden was AMAZING! The regular sized garden and the bonsai were both beautiful. He gave us some things to get us started, like dirt and pruning scissors. He started us out with a rose and some moss. I'm attempting to start my own with a ginkgo tree, but the leaves all fell off after I transplanted it. I'm afraid it's beyond my ability to save. I'll just have to wait and see. We got a bunch of bonsai magazines too, but I don't think we needed quite so many. I looked through them to see the pictures and my fiance has yet to crack even one cover.
While we were visiting the guy's house, we also talked to his wife. She happens to be the aunt of one of my students, and my fiance has actually sold my student's family a fridge recently. I had no idea. It's just another example of how small a town Suwa really is. That's okay. I kind of like finding out that people I know know other people I know.
