Instead of writing my own blog, I've been reading other people's blogs recently. I waste a least an hour a day (when I have the time) reading random blogs. Especially written by other foreigners living in Japan. I often wonder if there are people out there experiencing the same things that I am, and since I live in the country, there aren't really many other expats living here. Anyway, when I'm browsing through the blogs, I don't usually have the courage to make any comments; in fact, I think I've only made a comment once or twice. But when I read other peoples blogs, reading the comments is one of my favorite parts. When you write a diary that's just for yourself, no one makes comments. That's what makes blogging different from writing a journal or a diary. Anyone can read and comment one your writing. Anyone. It makes me wonder if anyone besides my family ever reads my blog. No one ever leaves comments, so I'm not sure who's reading. Anyone reading this, please leave a "Hello" for me in the comments, if you have the courage! I'll try to be braver and leave more comments myself.

On a completely different note, I'll be going to Texas for a visit in less than one month and having my second wedding ceremony. Yay!?! I'm totally not ready for it yet. We have yet to find a photographer or figure out how my husband is going to rent a tux there with out actually being there until three days before the wedding. I don't think I'll worry about it too much. I've got lots of wonderful people helping out. Thank you!!
Gotta go home now, my friend from Tokyo is coming to visit and we're going to have a nabe party at my apartment. I'm sure my apartment is in the same state I left it in this morning, so I've go to go home and clean. (aka: Throw everything in one room and then close it off from the other two!)

  1. Hi. :-)

I'm curious about why you're too shy to leave comments. Do you think people are going to misinterpret them and get mad? I never worry too much about it because we're all essentially strangers to one another anyway.

Anyway, I've been following your blog for quite some time and I hope you'll keep writing.

  2. I think I abstain from commenting for a lot of stupid reasons... also because I often can't think of anything good to write.

    Thanks for reading!!

  3. Hey!!

I check in on things from time to time too, just to see how you're doing.

ps: I'm excited to see you soon! :)

  4. I don't always comment, but I try to every now and then. I think it's great for the writer to know who's reading, but it's been through comments left on my blog that I've found so many other wonderful blogs. It's how I found yours! I'm so glad you left a comment.
