Post from school...number two. It's really great to be able to write while I'm at work. I'm sorry that I keep going on about it, but it's still a novelty. I often have a free 5 or 10 minutes that I spend surfing the internet everyday. I usually read the Japanese news and the Houston news at that time since I don't get a regular newspaper. If I don't get blocked, I think my blog might become more regular.
This weekend I had two fun/exciting events. Saturday night my old co-worker came in to town, so she and I and a couple of friends had a party. I turned out that the reason for the party was to announce to us that she and her boyfriend, who lives in the same town as I do, got engaged. They won't be getting married until next year, but they already asked my boyfriend and I to play and sing something for the wedding. Unlike American weddings, it wouldn't actually be for the wedding ceremony, but more likely the reception or the second party that follows the reception. I was happy to be asked to sing. It really means a lot that they want us to be a part of their wedding.
Then, on Sunday, I went to hotel with a couple friends to participate in a Chinese Tea Ceremony. It was really interesting, and completely different from the Japanese Ceremony. It felt almost the opposite at times. The Japanese ceremony is very precise and calculated, whereas the Chinese one was very relaxed and even a little messy with the server splashing water around occasionally. The tea was very hot and you are meant to drink it quickly, but I kept burning my tongue. I ended up buying some of the tea they had for sale. One of the ones I bought is made up of flowers and it's really pretty in a glass tea pot. It's also supposed to be good for the face... I'm not really sure what that means, but it tasted good.
Oh, the spell check doesn't seem to be working, so sorry if I misspelled something.

And the picture is just a cool picture I found on the internet of the Giant's Causeway in Ireland. Someday I hope to see the real thing.
