The second party is generally the party after the formal reception held for friends, but since most of the people at our reception were our friends, most of the people at the second party were the same as the reception (minus the old and fail who had to go home and go to bed). Not that it was late; it was about 4PM when the second party started. We took a taxi to the bar and made our fourth grand entrance of the day. Everyone was already there and we just relaxed and mingled for about thirty minutes. After that we had a trivia game to see if our friends really knew anything about us; we gave out prizes to the winners. Then we did a darts giveaway. My husband and I would throw a dart and what ever number we landed on got the prize. We had a Wii as the final big prize, and my sister-in-law ended up winning it. So we can play with it when we visit them in Kawasaki. After that there was more mingling and eating and drinking. The next day was my brother's birthday, so we had a small cake and present for him. We got everyone to sing Happy Birthday to him, but most of them didn't remember his name. So there was a lot of 'dear hmmm...'ing. The guests started trickling out after an hour and a half or so, but we were there until 7:30ish. After everyone else went home, we got another taxi and went home.
All in all, I think it was a pretty good day, but I don't think we really got to spend much time with everyone. It was all very planned and hurried. I'm glad that I had the experience though, and the wedding in December will definitely be different. Not better, but different.

Wow... it only took me, what, four posts to write about one day? I'll try to do better when I finally write about my trip to the UK... I have to do it before my memory gets fuzzy around the edges.
