I'll try and make up for my long absence with a long post. We're getting ready to move from our little apartment to the second floor above my husband's shop (typing 'my husband' every time is time consuming, so from now on he will be known as 'hubs.') At the moment, it's a semi-clean open space. After the carpenter knocks down a wall and puts in a door for us, I'll really start to put things in order.
Here's a sketch that I drew in paint. Yay for paint. The door leading from the living area to the kitchen is not actually there yet, and the light grey lines will be curtains. Anyway, this is basically how it will look when I'm finished putting everything in. Exciting, huh. I'm waiting for the door and the bath to be put in before I try to clean anything or organize anything. Hopefully that will be done by the beginning of next week.
My company has started to look for my replacement. So far I've hear about a Nigerian and an Australian. Well, actually I've met the Aussie. He came by to look at my apartment and I told him about the school. He was pretty nice... I think he'd make a good teacher for the school. Maybe. The interview is actually set for the 20th and sadly, I'll be at an elementary school that day. I hope it's after school, so I can watch.
On Saturday, I went with my friend... we'll call her M-chan... to a ballet class. Yes, you heard right, ballet. She's been taking the class for a couple of years I think, and she invited me to try it out. The class was free the first time, so I thought, "Why not? I don't mind making a fool of myself as long as I don't have to pay." The class was made up of other adults who were definitely better than me, not that that's hard to do, but not so good that would have made me feel out of place. It was pretty fun actually. Yes, I'm describing ballet as fun. It was! I even got a good workout, sweat and everything. I'm not a complete beginner at ballet, just mostly; I took a year and a half when I was about 5 and then did a year of dance in high school to get out of PE. The high school dance class was mostly jazz, but there are similarities...sort of. Anyway, I've decided to continue to make a fool of myself on Saturdays, of course I'll have to start paying for it. It's not cheap, but I'm going to save myself some money and just use clothes that I already have. I do have to buy shoes though. I'm going to attempt to make a skirt this evening. No, I will not post any pictures. There will never be any pictures of me doing ballet EVER! So don't ask.
This post isn't turning out as long as I thought it would be, but I did put in a nifty drawing. So we'll call it even!
