We left our place at about 9:30 to go to my sister-in-law's (SIL's) house in Kawasaki. There were two main purposes for the trip... 1) to deliver the washing machine that my SIL ordered from our shop and get it installed and bring the old one back home to recycle 2) fun
I'm happy to say that we accomplished both. We arrived at their apartment at 12ish and H went into Denki-ya mode (or in roughly translated English, Appliance-shop mode) and got the washer all set up with the help of my BIL. I was, in the meantime, being entertained by my nieces. They have a toy piano with sound effects and an attached mic... They aren't what I would call musical yet, but they are cute. My SIL, the munchkins and I went and got some lunch while the boys finished up and brought it back to eat at the apartment. Afterward we all loaded into one van (they actually have the same kind of van that we do, but I think it's a slightly older model) and made our way to Kawasaki Daishi Temple. Here's a picture of the temple... no, I didn't take it. I forgot my camera and on top of that, H told me that it wasn't good to take pictures at temples... which might have some truth to it since this was the best picture I could find. The dogs are cute at least :)
We got a blessing thingy for the shop and bought some souvenirs on our way out. Then they took us to a jeans shop that they discovered yesterday. There's an old broken slot machine in the back that they let kids play with, so my nieces were not a problem. H got a shirt and cap and I just looked longingly at the clothes that I won't be able to wear for at least a few more months.
We went and checked-in to our hotel and then headed off to dinner at an American style bar and restaurant. I had Spicy Chicken Jambalaya (it was only a little spicy) and buffalo wings. I never ate buffalo wings a lot in the states... are they usually drenched in barbecue sauce? I thought that the sauce was cayenne pepper based. Anyway, I like barbecue sauce, so I thought they were pretty yummy. My jambalaya was pretty good too, but a little dry. My SIL and BIL have to work tomorrow, so we got back to the hotel a little before 8. I attempted to watch some TV on my netbook, but the sound was acting weird and had to stop. I think it's about time to blow everything away and reinstall, or try a new OS. We ended up watching the first Fantastic Four movie on TV and after two gigantic Chu-Hi (imagine wine coolers in a can... but stronger alcohol) H promptly fell asleep and started snoring. He's especially cute when he snores ;)
